Minister Li Fanjie Delivers a Keynote Speech at the ANU China Update 2025

On November 27, Minister Li Fanjie was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech at the ANU China Update 2025. 

Minister Li introduced the outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He emphasized that the 15th Five-Year Plan sets out a top-level design and strategic plan for China’s development over the next five years. China will give full play to its strengths of all fields and uphold true multilateralism, so as to share opportunities and pursue common development with all countries including Australia. 

Minister Li highlighted the progress in digital economic development achieved by China in recent years. China and Australia share similar ideas and complementary strengths in the digital economy. There are broad prospects and great potential for cooperation. China stands ready to work together to enhance policy communication and industrial cooperation, foster new growth drivers and expand opportunities in practical cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.

China Update is a flagship forum discussing Chinese economy in Australia and has already been held for 25 sessions. The theme of this year’s forum is The Digital Transformation in China. More than 100 experts from think tanks, universities and enterprises of China, Australia and other countries in Asia-Pacific attended the forum.
