On September 13, the Chinese Embassy in Australia hosted the event of "My Beautiful Encounter with China" China-Australia Youth Face-to-Face Exchange. The students from the Australian National University (ANU) attended the event and interacted with the young diplomats from the Embassy, with over 60 participants from both sides in attendance.
Chargé d'Affaires Mr Li Fanjie delivered a speech, sharing his working experience in Yunnan, highlighting China's historic achievements in poverty alleviation, and explaining the concept of Chinese-style modernization. He encouraged Chinese and Australian youth to take the responsibilities of the times and work together to promote the continuous development of China and Australia relations.
Australian students spoke in Chinese sharing their experiences of studying in Shanghai and Yunnan, expressing admiration for China's achievements and deep interest in Chinese history and culture. Chinese young diplomats introduced China's history and development. The event reached a climax in the activities such as Chinese Knowledge Quiz, Mooncake-making, and Chinese Ink Painting, creating an immersive environment for Australian students to learn the traditional Chinese culture.
