Notice on China-bound foreign passengers

    According to the current situation of Covid-19 and the virus variation, the Embassy and Consulate-Generals of China have updated the application procedures of Health Code. Passengers who travel on and after May 20th,2022 are kindly required to read and follow instructions below.

1.All passengers(including those are fully vaccinated with inactivated vaccines, non-inactivated vaccines, or the unvaccinated and the partially vaccinated) should take two nucleic acid testswithin 48 hours before departure, respectively at two different qualified institutions (with different names) certified by Australian government, and do not need to take IgM Antibody tests(including N-Protein and S-Protein).

2.The second nucleic acid test should be taken on the same day of boarding. The test report do not need to be uploaded to the Embassy or Consulate-General but the hard copy of the report will be examined by the airlines. If you cannot provide the report or the report cannot meet the requirements, you will not be allowed for boarding.

3.The first nucleic acid test result should be uploaded to the Embassy or Consulate-General, and if meeting the requirements, the Embassy or Consulate-General will issue the Blue Code for the passengers. Please show the Blue Code and the second nucleic acid test report to the airlines during boarding.

4. If you were diagnosed with COVID-19 or tested positive for nucleic acid, you are considered as having an infection history. Those who have an infection history do not need to prepare lung X-ray/CT examinations report, but all the other requirements including the confirmation of recovery, self-health monitoring and two nucleic acid tests within 48 hours are required.

5.The passengers do not need to take one nucleic acid test 7 days before boarding or upload Personal Health Monitoring Form(7 days). It is recommended that the passengers take self-health monitoring.

6.In order to reduce transmission risk, the passengers living in Sydney and Melbourne where there are direct flights to China should fly from their living cities directly. If the passengers choose to take the direct flight to China starting from the other city not the living city for some essential reasons, all tests should be taken in the city where the direct airline flights to China.

7.The passengers have the obligation to comply with the airlines’ COVID test, temperature check and other necessary checking for safety reasons.
