Ambassador Xiao Qian Met with South Australia Deputy Premier Susan Close

On  November 14, Ambassador Xiao Qian met with South Australian Deputy  Premier Susan Close at the State Parliament House, where they exchanged  views on China-Australia relations and regional cooperation.

Ambassador  Xiao noted that this year marks the tenth anniversary of President Xi  Jinping’s state visit to Australia and the establishment of the  China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. At this important  milestone, the continued panda conservation will further strengthen the  friendship between the two peoples, bring new energy to cultural  exchanges, and reinforce positive momentum in China-Australia relations.  China and South Australia share a long history of friendly cooperation  and close cultural ties. China looks forward to consolidating  traditional cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and education with  South Australia, while also expanding cooperation in emerging fields  such as green energy.

Deputy  Premier Close expressed that the giant pandas are ambassadors of  China-Australia friendship. South Australia looks forward  to strengthening cooperation with China in trade, economy, and cultural  exchange.
