On  September 23, Ambassador Xiao Qian was invited to attend the “Written  in the Sky: My China Story” Australia Special Event hosted by China  Media Group and delivered a keynote address.

In  his address, Ambassador Xiao pointed out that this year marks the 10th  anniversary of President Xi Jinping's state visit to Australia and the  establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between China and  Australia. In recent years, with joint efforts from both sides,  bilateral relations have gradually returned to the right track, showing a  positive momentum of steady improvement. The basis of China-Australia  relations has always been supported by broad public opinion. The  successful conclusion of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC  Central Committee provides new opportunities for deepening  China-Australia cooperation. It is hoped that the people of both  countries will further enhance mutual understanding and expand mutually  beneficial cooperation, drawing a grander blueprint for the continued  progress of China-Australia relations.

Shen  Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central  Committee and president of CMG, delivered a video speech. People  committed to China-Australia friendship from various fields of both  countries, shared touching stories about China-Australia friendship.  Nearly 100 guests attended the event. The atmosphere was warm and  friendly.
